The Wendy Darlings are back with their third album entitled "Lipstick Fire" : 13 songs of twee pop...made in France! With their blend of pounding garage punk drums, shambling guitars, bubblegum melodies and sense of frantic two-minutes-and-a-half-and-we're-done approach to songwriting, the French band, originated from Clermont-Ferrand, are still following in the footsteps of acts such as The Pastels, Shop Assistants and Comet Gain. The band is a regular of Indie pop festvials and their musical interests range from 60s girls bands to Flying Nun Records, to Riot grrrl and 90s slackers....their new offering is a deliciously DIY and addictive slice of shambolic rock that you can enjoy while reading your favourite Daniel Clowes comics!

Formed in 2008 in Clermont-Ferrand, the trio has been flying the flag of Indie Pop ever since, bringing their nerds-go-punk DIY ethos along for the ride. Suzy (vocals/guitars), Baptiste (drums) and Sylvain (bass) have learned their Vaselines and their Ramones since their first EPs "We come with Friendly Purposes" (Lostmusic Records, 2008), then "Not a Match Made in Heaven" and "Girls from Japan" in 2010 (Marineville Records) before recording two catchy, razor-sharp albums : "The Insufferable Fatigues of Idleness" in 2014 and "The Wendy Darlings Against Evil" in 2019, both released on Odd Box records. We are proud to announce the release of their third LP, "LIPSTICK FIRE", out now via Lunadélia Records and Influenza Records.
